Mailbox Monday is a weekly blog link up hosted by Leslie of Under My Apple Tree, Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit and Martha of Reviews by Martha’s Bookshelf.
I added 12 new books to my bookshelves this week and I only spend £11, BARGAIN. I really shouldn’t add anymore to my TBR though as its getting a bit out of control. I will sit down one day and make a list of all the books I have on my TBR, although I’m a bit scared to. I have linked all the books to Amazon so you can read the descriptions.
The Works (Spent £5)
I love popping into my local The Works Stores when I am on my lunch break, you always find amazing books in the 3 for £5 deal. This week I did purchase two books I already have on ebook format (The Whisper Man and The Catch) but I wanted the paperback so I can read them during my lunch break at work.
Charity Shop Finds (Spent total of £6)
I absolutely love a good browse around a charity shop, and the British Heart Foundation shop in my local town has an amazing collection of books. I managed to pick up three books on my visit this week. I have been after a copy of We Know You Know for ages so was so excited to find a copy for £2 in the charity shop.
Local Little Library Finds (Free)
And a visit to my favourite place over the last few months, my local little library. I absolutely love wandering down the street to this place to check out the new book arrivals. And this week I managed to find six books to add to my TBR, don’t worry the owner of the little library encourages you to take as many books as you want, because he has so many and not much storage space. The book I’m most excited about out of this haul is The Butterfly Room, I’ve seen this book a lot lately, along with The Seven Sisters series by the same author. This is not my usual genre of book but I have said I am going expand my reading habits outside of crime and thriller books.
I am also looking forward to reading The Children Act, I saw a trailer for the movie adaptation the other day. I have added this book to my September TBR pile, as its only a short book at 213 pages. I have a few books to film / tv adaptations on my TBR pile, might plan a reading month of just these books to get them ticked off my TBR.
What new books did you add to your TBR this week?
